"PLERNG TORANONG" เพลิงทระนง (Plerng-Ta-Ra-Nong) is Mario Maurer's first real "lakorn" or drama in Thai TV. Since his acting career started in 2007, Mario has received many offers from various TV stations to cast in a lakorn, but he chose to stick with his movies.
Only in July 6, 2011 did his first lakorn or drama air in Thailand, which was Plerng Toranong, roughly translated means "Proud Flame". The english title is Fire Arrogance, which pertains mostly to Mario's character "Plerng" meaning "proud".
